December – The Most Stressful Time of the Year

It’s that time of year again! Cozy vibes, blinding lights, and everything festive. Let’s face it, though: December isn’t only about hot chocolate, Christmas movies and gifts. For many people just like me, it’s an intense, stressful, but comforting month.

Gift-Giving

Gift-giving – the struggle is real, right? Stay ahead of the game! Organize your Christmas lists from November, order everything you need to order in the first week of December and voila, you’ve cracked the Christmas gift insanity code.

Low on Motivation

This month, my motivation has reached its lowest point, especially last week. Now, I am getting back to my normal levels of motivation and determination. But, has this happened to you as well? Feeling a bit under the weather, not for any particular reason, just because.

Social Overload

December is known for its festive and fun parties. I mean you have the Christmas parties, New Year’s parties and all the others in between. All of these can be super draining. But, I love my family gatherings. All of us come together from every corner of the world. In my family, we go to my grandparents’ house every year. We meet up with my uncle and his wife who usually live in Dubai, my other uncle who is a Trump fan (he’s the controversial uncle), my aunt and her boyfriend, who are super sweet and of course my grandparents from both my mom’s and my dad’s side. And we have a huge feast. It’s all very heart-warming.

Btw, surprisingly for most of you probably, my grandparents are very chill. They never bash about the fact that me and my brothers chose to be entrepreneurs, or that we dropped out of university, or how’s our love life, or when am I getting married or having kids, or any of that BS. We just enjoy each other’s company.

Keeping Your Wallet Happy

It’s a no, no! This month, my wallet and I are going on a spending spree. I have yet to figure out how not to overspend on gifts, and how to budget better for Christmas time. My wallet is always crying at the end of December.

Me-Time

In the chaos of the holiday spirit, don’t forget to make time for yourself. Put yourself first! Take care of your mental health. Go for a spa day with your BFF, make your favorite cozy Christmas dish, take a long bath, journal and meditate, enjoy yourself!

There you have it, enjoy December with its ups and downs. It might be stressful, but it brings people and family together. And that is something absolutely beautiful and amazing. Have a great month, guys! See you next week!
